WARP 11 the "LIVE" REVIEW by ALCOHOLMAN for MYSTERY ISLAND MUSIC
Warp 11 Live Review
The Blue Lamp
Performance Stardate: 05.02.09
After listening to all five Warp 11 albums: Suck My Spock Some More (2000), Red Alert (2002), Boldly Go Down On Me (2004), Itís Dead, Jim (2007), and I Donít Want To Go To Heaven As Long As They Have Vulcans In Hell (2009), and fueling up on some quality Vulcan Vodka--we gained the necessary space groove readiness to see Warp 11 live.
Star Trek Lucy with Captain Karl Miller.
We wanted it loud, crazy, and filled with the drunken joy only truly creative bands bring alive Ö and the band made it so.
Star Trek Lucy with Chief Science Officer Kiki. <3
Warp 11 is pure energy and excitement. They have a fast, driving sound, accented with great vocals that take you into warp drive, all the way to 11, and never lets up until youíre ready to do the Orion animal slave girl watusi.
Chief Engineer Brian Moore.
Editor's note: Mr. Spock made a great "dance" guest appearance (after seriously stinking up the restroom)Ö Sorry, no photo. You'll have to see the band live to catch him in the act.
If you like your music fun, and you donít take yourself too seriously, youíve gotta see Warp 11.
KIKI KICKS ASS!
Recommended for fans of Star Trek (preferably TOS), acid rock, Star Wars (original films before they became pretentious nonsense), hard rock, Battlestar Galactica (the show with the green guys with four armsÖ), heavy metal, Buck Rogers, punk rock, Flash Gordon, rock & roll, or The Brady Bunch Variety Hour.
Warp 11ís latest album is I Donít Want To Go To Heaven As Long As They Have Vulcans In Hell, and itís their best recording yet. The songs ďI Donít Want To Go To Heaven As Long As They Have Vulcans In Hell,Ē (sounded great live!), ďFully Functional,Ē (great lyrics!) and ďBeam Into MeĒ (awesome vocals by Kiki!) are all as good or better than your favorite Warp 11 songs of missions past.
Starfleet Recruit Robert Berry after rescuing Star Trek Lucy's shoes from some slightly retarded Klingon girls.
Donít be as down-syndrome as those front row Klingon wannabes, just go buy Warp 11's groove, get a pitcher of good cold tranya, and enjoy the ride.
