SACRAMENTO HORROR & SCI-FI SHOW + WARP 11 "LIVE" REVIEW

Sacramento Horror & Sci-Fi Convention
Stardate: 09.25.09 to 09.27.09
Warp 11 Live Performance Stardate: 09.25.09
Sacramento, California
Review by Mystery Island Magazine: Bradley Mason Hamlin reports.

The Mystery Island tribe began their Sacramento Horror show experience at their table next to where Ray "Darth Maul" Park was scheduled to appear. Unfortunately, Mr. Park couldn't attend the show until Saturday, however, despite several attempts at telling people "I am not Ray Park," they simply did not believe me. I was thanked for my "work," and asked if I would do a podcast. Meanwhile, I handed out Mystery Island flyers and asked people if they wanted to adopt a monster for $1.00.

Lucy Hell's adopt a monster program proved very successful and many monsters found a new home.

Sacramento conventions are always really fun because you never know who you're doing to run into. We met with old friends and we [mostly Lucy] made many new horror/sci-fi fan acquaintances.

In order to help our fellow souvenir seekers during the dark recession/depression of Ď09--we also offered our classic .25 cent comic promotion--just like we did at the Sacramento Comic Flashback Convention--to help uphold the classic feeling of getting a really good comic book for a really good price.

Lucy Hell fan with the one and only Devilgirl herself.

Of course, with Lucy Hell in attendance, we met with many people interested in the new Lucy Hell, Devilgirl comic book from California writer, Bradley Mason Hamlin, [Thatís me!] and New York artist, Mort Todd.

Then when darkness finally crept over the shadows of horror fans large and smallóit was time to beam on over to the see the greatest rock & roll band in Sacramento: WARP 11!

I am happy to say we didnít get pushed around by any mean Klingon girls this timeóand Warp 11 exceeded all speed limits throughout the galaxy of Sacramento, California.
